All new twenty and thirty five Amp battery chargers with plenty of power, practical engine start facility and the capability of charging 6, 12 or 24 volt batteries are enhancing the Projecta name for quality and reliability in workshops well beyond Australasia.
Following on from the success of the earlier model Projecta workshop 12/24 Volt battery charger, Projecta product development engineers set themselves a challenge to source a practical, reliable and robust charger that would exceed market expectations.
With a comprehensive wish list the team scoured world markets only to find their established criteria could not be met in any one product.
Using leading European brands as a benchmark for quality, Projecta’s highly qualified product team under the direction of Senior Technician, Paul Nador, set out on an ambitious in-house engineering program to design the ultimate charger suited to Australian workshop conditions.
It had to be capable of charging 6, 12 and 24 Volt, include the popular engine start feature and offer automatic charge control with manual options for expert technicians.
Sharing the original housing of the earlier model, the similarity stops there with the new charger incorporating ground-up developments including new electronics providing greater hardware protection plus automatic or manual operation features.
LED volt and amp digital read-outs are featured for the technically minded who want to know how the charger is working or just a simple indication for those who want to know just when to turn the charger off.
When used by experienced technicians the new chargers can be used to deliver an equalising charge to balance the voltage in each of the battery’s cells.
Both models automatically control the output when the battery is fully charged and maintain it in a fully charged state. A 14 hour timer can be set to turn the charger off at any preset time.
Suitable for motor, truck, bus and heavy equipment workshops, panel shops, farming and engineering workshops, these rugged, practical chargers promote ease of operation with all the safeguards for long operational life.
The new Projecta chargers are now available from leading automotive outlets throughout Australia under part no.HDBC20 for the 20 amps and part no: HDBC35 for the 35 amp model.
