Profile Cutting Systems  (PCS) was established in 1989 by three highly experienced electronic and mechanical technicians with a combined total of 60 years expertise in manufacture, service and use of flame cutting/burning and plasma cutting machines.

The first PCS retrofitted machine was a 1960’s era BOC Falcon 3000, with two flame cutting torches with hand operated torch lifting mechanisms and Baldor drive motors. CNC operations were handled by an ANCA Platemate controller with digital readout (metres per minute) required for stripping mode.

In seventeen years, Profile Cutting Systems has gone from retrofitting machines to manufacturing a range of different types of cutting machines.

Heavy Duty

Heavy Duty
The PCS Heavy Duty range is a full portal design machine: the plates to be cut are placed in between the rails. The machine carriage is of all welded construction with a transverse box beam section and heavy box shaped side supports, which run on rail surfaces lower than the cutting table. The main longitudinal drive wheels are mounted on the precision machined side rail.

A motorised carriage drives a steel band for the transverse movement of the slave carriage/s. The machine is suitable for both standard and precision plasma systems; typically using Hypertherm, Innerlogic and Thermal Dynamics plasma systems.

The PCS Cantilever ranges of machines are manufactured in 1.2 metre and 1.5 metre configurations, and are perfect for low volume cutting requirements.

Base model cantilever cutting machines feature manual raise/lower torches; PCS1200 is fitted with a Linatrol HL-93 optical tracing system, where as the PCS1500 has a Linatrol HL-83A optical tracing system.

All machines are fitted standard with two flame cutting torches and upgradeable features such as extra torches, plasma cutting systems, CNC programmable controller and programmable torch lifter can be provided at minimal extra cost.

The PCS Fineline machine incorporates the recent precision high density plasma technology from Innerlogic, Baldor AC servo amplifiers, Burny 10 LCD Plus Cnc controller and THK Linear bearings. This combination of state of the art equipment and PCS expertise provides near laser quality cutting at a fraction of the capital outlay.

All have been thoroughly proven on actual sites in Australia, South East Asia and the USA.
