The new 2012 Profibus Association of Australia Committee
Leading fieldbus Profibus Association of Australia (PAA) has turned over a record gross return for 2011 according to trading figures presented at the AGM last week.
Highlights included enrolments in PAA’s Certified Profibus Training programmes, which increased significantly due to greater demand from leading companies in the Mining and Water/ Wastewater sectors.
Rafael Koenig, Profibus Australia’s Chairman, believes that the welcome results can be attributed to a combination of good management and “good fortune”.
“As Mining companies in WA and Qld continue to ramp up production to meet the growing demand for our minerals, these companies now realize that Certified Training is the fastest way to improve the efficiency of their process – a message we’ve been spruiking for years.” explianed Koenig.
Membership among end-users and vendors also rose thirty five per cent, demonstrating significant growth in fieldbus technology in the process and manufacturing industries in recent years.
The PAA chose to re-invest a significant portion of their revenue back into the association by initiating a number of marketing communication campaigns aimed at developing the local market throughout 2011.
These campaigns included a new online eNewsletter distributing local news and new product information to end-users, as well as various telemarketing campaigns promoting Profibus Australia’s Certified Training programmes and the successful Profibus Technical EXPO in Perth.
