Professional Advantage announces winners of fourth annual Business Improvement Awards

Supplier News

Professional Advantage  has announced the winners of its fourth annual Business Improvement Awards.

The awards were open to all customers that implemented Microsoft solutions in partnership with Professional Advantage, with over 350 customers eligible. There were two overall winners this year - Austar, which has now won the award two years running, and Roland DG.

Austar, which won in the Best New Implementation category, is a leading provider of subscription television services in regional and rural Australia.

Austar worked closely with Professional Advantage to create a complete Customer Relationship Management tool to manage its commercial and multi-dwelling unit segments.

With Professional Advantage’s help, Austar was able to custom design a pipeline management tool enabling the business to pinpoint pipeline visibility of all business activity exactly and in real-time.

The new system is based on Microsoft Dynamics AX CRM module to create AMBuS (AUSTAR for Business, Multi-Dwelling Units Business Solution).

Mark Burgermeister, Sales Operations Manager (Systems and Process) for AUSTAR said “AUSTAR needed the ability to manage very complex inter-departmental pipeline activity. We now have an integrated end-to-end package that, with Professional Advantage’s help, we have been able to use innovatively to custom design a management tool to suit our needs”.

“As a result we have achieved accelerated sales growth, raised customer service benchmarks and achieved efficiency gains whilst reducing costs”.

Roland DG, winning the Best New Implementation Strategy and Best Reporting and Business Analysis, worked with Professional Advantage to implement an end-to-end business system to help them overcome the reporting and stock control/management problems.

Camryn Turner, Chief Financial Officer for Roland DG, said “we needed to improve management reporting. Many reports were done manually in Excel, which were time consuming and counter-productive. Now we have a far better ability to report on the key drivers of the business and respond on a far timelier manner to this information”.

Roland DG and Professional Advantage implemented a combination of Microsoft Dynamics GP and Wennsoft Service Management to provide integration to Microsoft CRM, reporting capabilities, and the streamlining of the entire company’s processes.

Derek Rippingale, joint managing director, Professional Advantage said, “We are passionate about delivering our clients technology solutions and services that help them become high performing organisations. These awards celebrate clients that are maximising the use of technology to achieve their business goals”.

Winners in other categories were:

  • Team Work: Electroboard
  • Financial Excellence: Philip Island Nature Parks
  • Operational Excellence: Victor Chang Cardiac Institute
