Process Systems Services Pty Ltd is rapidly becoming a major player in the field of trim extraction and has installed several major plants in recent months.
Trim extraction is an important requirement for printing companies, book and pamphlet binders, label makers and the manufacturers of packaging film, cardboard boxes or cartons.
With the advent of modern, high-speed printing, binding and punching machines, waste can be produced at rates measured in tonnes per hour and edge trim often flies out of the trimming machines at speeds in excess of 40 Km / Hr. Process Systems has developed trim extraction systems able to cope with these high demands and the company offers the complete design, manufacture and installation package from trimming machines through to the to the waste bins or compactor.
Two of the most important design features of a PSS plant are efficiency and cleanliness. Trim Extraction using bins located next to the trimming machine are time consuming & labour intensive because the bins have to be emptied so frequently. Furthermore, Trim Extraction plants are notorious for producing waste or dust which escapes from the process creating the need for additional clean-up of work areas or, worse, a percentage of the trim waste or associated dust being blown into the outside air causing problems for neighbours - especially in residential areas.
The PSS Trim Extraction system overcomes these problems. Trim is carried from any number of trim machines by ductwork to a central storage or compaction area and our purpose designed rotary separators are able to separate the air from the waste trim prior to bagging or compacting. This process eliminates the swirling effect which leads to the 'leakage' of product from other types of trim extraction system. If dust is present in the air then a self-cleaning, dust collector can be included to remove all traces of dust prior to releasing the air to atmosphere.
PSS prides itself on being able to offer customers a 'total solution' to waste and trim extraction regardless of project size or location. PSS is able to service an international client base and currently operates in Australia New Zealand, South East Asia, the USA and Europe.
