PDP explosion detectors available from ProDetec are mainly used as part of flash explosion suppression systems.
The explosion suppression detectors feature three detection modes including static, pressure rise and IR with each mode having its own setting. When any one of the mode settings is exceeded, the detector's alarm contact is triggered. Mode settings can be configured on site.
PDP explosion detectors have a memory of ±16 seconds. When triggered, the data from the pressure and IR sensors is automatically recorded 8s before and 8s after the alarm. This alarm can only be erased by manual intervention, even if the detector loses power.
The accompanying controller uses LEDs to indicate the detector's state as OK/malfunction, triggered/ not triggered, triggered on mode static/ dynamic/ IR and memory triggered.
PDP02 explosion detectors feature a circuit with a resistance of 680 R in series with the alarm contact and with a 3k9 broken wire resistance (end of line). PDP03 detectors are suitable for RSS-based control units.
