ProDetec , a leading supplier of Fire & Gas detection equipment and systems, is pleased to announce the availability of a new generation of Multispectrum Flame Detectors from Simrad Optronics ICARE.

The DMTV63 Series flame detectors offer operators several unique features not currently available in other flame detectors.

The range covers Multispectrum 3xIR and Enhanced UV/2xIR, which can be set as UV only, IR only or combined UV/2IR depending on the application condition and requirements.

The Flame detectors are designed to reach a large detection range while assuring an excellent immunity against false and nuisance alarms making them among the most performing detectors in their class.

The Simrad DMTV63 Series is insensitive to difficult environmental conditions, such as combined rain and wind, rapid sunshine variations, modulate hot sources, industrial lighting, etc.

It’s fast response and longer detection range makes it ideal for very difficult installations both onshore and offshore:

Optical components, electronic circuitry as well as window cleanness are controlled by automatic and periodic self-tests of optical integrity on all channels of measurement to ensure reliability.

All detectors are all supplied fitted with a smart and removable cartridge, which can be easily replaced in the field with another cartridge without having to disconnect wires and replace the entire detector (a very easy process).

Analogue 4-20mA output and built in programmable relays enables the flame detector to interface with any fire unit or monitor directly automatic controls.

Wireless Communication is another unique feature. It allows operators to interface with the detectors remotely from up to 6 to 8m away. This offers great flexibility of use allowing remote settings and sensitivity adjustments as well as information gathering. The wireless interface unit is intrinsically safe so it can be used in classified area.
