ProDesign Lighting announces the introduction of a new high output LED luminaire from Philips Selecon for cycloramas.

The Philips Selecon PLCYC2 delivers a smooth even beam, seamlessly blending intense washes of colour on the cyclorama. Using LED source technology combined with a properly shaped asymmetrical reflector, the PLCYC2 delivers consistent and powerful light distribution.

Incorporating the same proven LED engines as the Philips Selecon PL1, PL3, PLFRESNEL1, PLPROFILE1 and the PLCYC1, the PLCYC2 LED luminaires simplify colour matching across the stage.

Designed for ease of use with a simple user interface, the PLCYC2 LED luminaire eliminates the need to change lamps or mix colours on the cyclorama using multiple fixtures with a single source allowing multiple colours. The seamless fading between colours also allows designers a new level of creativity.

Some of the advantages of the PLCYC2 LED luminaire include need for fewer luminaires to cover the cyclorama, less power usage and no dimmer circuits, making it the obvious choice for lighting a large sized cyclorama.

Key features of the PLCYC2 LED luminaires include twin single source RGBW LED chips delivering limitless colour mixing capabilities and colour temperature; homogenised fully mixed colour output light with no multiple colour shadows; asymmetric reflector directing more light downward to produce visually even illumination down a vertical surface; 8 or 16 bit control from any DMX512 control source; wireless DMX module available; quick selection of colour pre-sets, control for intensity and colour temperature; operating on 100-240 VAC, 150w max; lifespan in excess of 25,000 operational hours; and 3-year warranty.
