The motorised facing head managed by the WS series in-situ portable line boring machines from Precision Metal Group is used for facing jobs or internal turning jobs on tubular cylindrical bodies.

Held on a rotating and translating axis, the motorised facing head allows the operator to control all the steps of the machining through an electronic control panel. The radial movement of the tool is controlled for position and speed allowing for automatic precision machining.

Through dedicated modular extensions, different ranges of diameters can be handled and the counterweight can be proportionally set to obtain a perfect balanced system.

Key advantages of a motorised facing head on WS in-situ portable line boring machines:

  • Facing bosses
  • Seeger and o-ring housing
  • Internal turning jobs (linear and non linear)
  • Concentric grooves
  • External machining
