Powerflow Systems introduces a new range of air-driven single-acting and double-acting pumps designed to provide faster, lighter and more cost-efficient actuation in subsurface applications.
Developed by Powerflow Systems to replace hand pumps, the heavy duty foot-operated hydraulic pumps incorporate globally proven Enerpac turbo pump technology for rapid actuation in applications such as bolt and cable tensioning and powering hydraulic cylinders.
Requiring only 5.5bar air pressure (80psi) at the air inlet to achieve 700 bar (10,000psi) operating pressure for rapid actuation tasks, the hydraulic pumps allow rapid and efficient operation preventing downtime in production processes where speed and safety are critical.
In addition to underground applications, the pumps can also be used for many surface applications, reliably actuating a wide variety of cylinders used for maintenance, fabrication, pushing, pulling, pressing, bending and cutting.
With a starting weight of just 14kg, the new 700 bar pumps feature robust custom-fabricated stainless steel construction replacing aluminium typically used in surface products.
Key durability, safety and efficiency features in the Powerflow Systems hydraulic pumps include stainless steel 5-litre reservoir; large inlet filters reducing potential for pump and air-motor contamination; pressure gauge and guard for safety; quick-connect couplings for operator convenience; permanent reservoir over-pressurisation relief protecting the pump if the reservoir is overfilled while the cylinder is retracting; proven Enerpac turbocharger technology to help boost pump power; high air-hydraulic ratio of 144:1 allowing use of lower-pressure air to generate high pressure hydraulics; and horizontal and vertical operation, giving increased mounting flexibility, plus comfortable treadle-style operation.
