has released the new Hioki FT3470 series of magnetic field testers.
According to the company, the International Commission on Non-ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) notes that the maximum safe exposure for 50/60 Hz power line fields is 200 micro-Tesla.
The magnetic field testers employ a measurement method that complies with IEC62110/IEEE, IEC62233, and IEC61786.
The magnetic field testers are available with field measurement probes that are either 100 cm2 or 3 cm2.
The field measurement probes provide magnetic field strength in separable orthogonal components of x, y, and z as well as the calculated polar coordinate r.
Units of measurement are selectable tesla, gauss and amp-meters.
Measurements are made in the frequency band of 10 Hz to 400 kHz as true rms (TRMS).
The magnetic field testers are supplied with 100 cm2 and 3 cm2 detectors providing a maximum of 3.464 milli-Tesla flux density measurement.
