Power Equipment expands aftermarket tech support

Power Equipment has appointed Nick Lee to the newly created position of ‘National Engineering and Customer Service Manager’, reaffirming the company’s commitment to product support.

Announcing the appointment, Power Equipment Business Manager Noel Heritage said that Nick Lee has been appointed with the specific objective of driving the company’s aftermarket support effort across all brands. Nick Lee will lead all efforts to provide their customers and dealers technical support, product training and an enhanced level of factory backing. Nick will also interface with Power Equipment’s principals at Yanmar, JCB, Gori, PSS and MASE on matters related to warranty, engineering and product specifications.

Nick Lee has extensive experience with diesel engines, having been responsible for diesel applications in marine, power generation and general industry in his previous role. Though he admits his exposure to the Yanmar brand was relatively minor prior to joining Power Equipment, he now fully appreciates the strength of the brand, which together with JCB and MASE ensures the company has an exceptional presence in both marine and industrial markets.

Nick Lee aims to begin with boosting training support at both the dealer level as well as within Power Equipment, and plans to provide a more structured and readily available training program. He will also prioritise the use of online systems for warranty and training.

Power Equipment is the exclusive and authorised Australian, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and South Pacific distributor of Yanmar marine and industrial diesel engines, JCB DieselMax, MASE diesel marine and RV generators, Gori high quality folding sailboat propellers, PSS shaft seals and Northern Lights gen sets.
