Highly respected marine industry specialist, Chris Guppy has signed on with Power Equipment – Yanmar
as the new Power Products Area Manager for Queensland.
Chris had earlier worked with Power Equipment about a decade ago. Though he has a wealth of experience in diesel and petrol engines, his talent at Power Equipment will be channelled into the Power Products division.
Chris explains that he will be working with OEM, trade customers and end users to assist them with their needs with the Yanmar and JCB line of diesel engines. He is impressed with the multifaceted growth that has occurred at Power Equipment over the past decade, and calls the expansion of the Yanmar range in terms of engine models and the gen set range as ‘staggering’.
He attributes his return to the company’s sound base and administration, appreciating the management’s focus on customers and dealers.
Commenting on his appointment to Power Equipment, Business Manager Noel Heritage can’t speak more highly of Chris Guppy, who has been brought in to replace the retired Geoff Tickle. Having been with Power Equipment for a long period of time, Geoff was highly valued by both their customer base and everyone at Power Equipment.
Noel believes Chris is the ideal person to move into the role vacated by Geoff. Additionally, his ten years in the role of National Service Manager for Suzuki makes him a good fit for Power Equipment.
Power Equipment is the exclusive and authorised Australian, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and South Pacific distributor of Yanmar marine and industrial diesel engines, JCB DieselMax, MASE diesel marine generators, Gori high quality folding sailboat propellers, PSS shaft seals and Electromaax products.
