Polex recently installed a turn-key dust collection system at Thermotec Australia, Revesby NSW.
Dust extraction was required as a result of fine PVC dust being generated from one of Thermotec’s mixing and blending processes. Fine PVC dust is both harmful to the health of process operators and harmful to the environment.
Polex designed, supplied and installed a dust extraction system with 6200m3/h airflow capacity, consisting of a 9-cartridge (288m2 filter area) reverse-pulse dust collector, 11kW centrifugal fan, ducting to various dust pick-up points and an 11kW star-delta electric motor starter.
Polex reverse-pulse dust collectors are constructed from either powdercoated 3mm or painted 5mm thick mild steel.
A standard feature of Polex dust collectors is 24VDC solenoid pulse valves and electronic pulse controllers. This provides increased electrical safety for service and maintenance of dust collectors.
Polex dust collectors can also be supplied with increased protective coatings or fabricated from Stainless Steel for more corrosive environments.
Polex dust collectors can be manufactured to suit specific space constraints. All dust collection equipment and systems manufactured by Polex are of high quality.
