Platform Sales Australia displayed a range of new products from the Italian CTE in last week’s Civil Engineering and Construction Expo held at Sydney's Eastern Creek.
On display from CTE was the Traccess 135 track mounted "spider" and a ZED 20 truck mounted platform, the smallest tracked platform in the range, with a 13m working height and 6.5m of outreach. The Tracess 135 presents a number of unique features: it lacks external hoses which could make it susceptible to damage, it presents a full working envelope with 200kg basket capacity and a powerful 15HP Honda motor.
Traccess is also available in a 17m version and soon to be released 23m version. "With CTE's well known reliability in Europe we hope to impress the Australian market with a range of reliable, quality products." said John Lyon, sales director. “Both platforms created a great deal of interest from the visitors to the show. Unfortunately, we would have also liked to have had the new ZED 26J on display but delays in shipping meant this was not possible."
The ZED 20 truck-mounted platform on display was mounted on a 6.5t Mitsubishi chassis. The "Up & over" action, zero tailswing and straiight-down outriggers make this double articulating truck-mounted platform ideal for inner city work and the first of its kind available in Australia.
Also on display was the TP 9000 trailer mounted scissor lift, a Genie TZ 50 and a Genie GRC 12.
