Estimate-to-invoicing (e2i) manufacturing software from Planit

The estimate-to-invoicing (e2i) manufacturing software
According to an industry source, Radan’s total solution for fabricators and metalworkers abolishes a piecemeal approach by offering full integration of modules, covering everything from estimating through to final invoicing.

Planit provide the estimate-to-invoicing (e2i) manufacturing software for complete configuration of all material and operation costs.

Paul Cooper, Sales Manager for Radan software from Planit, is of the view that too many systems have various software programs controlling different CNC machines and failing to bring everything together for maximum efficiencies.

Fully integrated software, on the other hand, gives total job control, enabling users to integrate their company’s activities from initial enquiry for a contract, through the quotation and production stages, to final delivery and payment.

The estimate-to-invoicing (e2i) manufacturing software includes:

  • Customer inquiries
  • Estimating
  • Designing
  • Real-time job tracking
  • Comparison of estimates with actual performance
  • Full control of inventory
  • Delivery to customer
  • Billing
  • Payment
Cooper adds that an advantage of the totally integrated system is that users have complete traceability, so that work in progress never gets ‘lost in the system’.

Typical modules in an integrated system include quotations, contracts, purchasing, route card, shop floor data capture, delivery, invoicing, stock control, work centre capacity and stores.

According to Cooper, a complete system should be configurable to provide the level of functionality that individual customers need. Customers should be able to purchase just those modules they require, integrating these into existing programs, such as CAD/CAM or financial software or converting entirely to the integrated system.

The E2i manufacturing software is designed to accommodate a user’s setup by enabling complete configuration of all material and operation costs. The work flows through a total system with all the modules communicating with one another.

Stuart Leslie, manager-owner of South Coast Welding and Fabrication, is using integrated software for estimate-to-invoice control of the workflow in his twelve person business.

South Coast Welding and Fabrication have recently converted to Planit’s e2i software. They out-source their design work and thus, do not use the Radan CAD/CAM module, but instead employ the e2i system for many other steps of the work process, integrating these into their existing financial software package.

According to Leslie, the e2i software can be adapted to suit their requirements. Planit also provide the company with efficient back-up services.

A total CAD/CAM solution for the sheet metal industry, Radan software will reduce inventory, increase material utilisation and improve workplace productivity.

Planit provide innovative solutions that offer a positive return-on-investment, while offering complete customer support that ensures continuing production.
