STATE-of-the-art manufacturing software, previously only available overseas, is now distributed in Australia and will be on display at National Manufacturing Week 2004 (NMW) in Sydney next June.

Australian company Solspec will introduce the industry to comprehensive CAD/CAM software applications AlphaCAM, AlphaCIM and Radan 03, through demonstrations at NMW.

Solspec has been appointed the sole distributor for these applications in Australia and New Zealand offering software solutions that improve productivity in any manufacturing sector.

AlphaCAM is a total CAD/CAM software solution that takes designs successfully from concept to production. The programme integrates with any production control software and all CNC machines.

Anything in wood, from simple routed parts to complex, 5-axis components can be produced simply and more cost effectively. It incorporates Visual Basic application and an application programming interface to enable total integration into a company's production activities.

AlphaCIM is a modular software system for operations management including quotations, order processing, stock management, accounts, purchasing, and a library to store component information.

The newest version of sheet metal software, Radan, will also be on display. A comprehensive windows application, Radan 03 offers a revised user interface and graphics display, powerful drawing functions without keyboard input and automated support for part and scrap removal.

The addition of these new applications means Solspec now offers a comprehensive suite of solutions to all segments of the manufacturing sector, complementing the company's existing solutions, Cabnetware and CabinetVision, for the wood industry.

National Manufacturing Week will be held in the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre at Darling Harbour from June 1-4, 2004.
