SafetyBUS p®

First Safe Open Bus System
SafetyBUS p is a multi-master system with a linear bus topology based on the established CAN bus system.
It is the first open, safe bus system to have been approved by BG to category 4 in accordance with EN 954-1, EN 60204, EN 62061 and by TÜV to AK 6 in accordance with DIN V 19 250, SIL 3 in accordance with EN IEC 61508 and NFPA 79.

The open protocol of SafetyBUS p enables you to incorporate different field modules from other manufacturers and also allows you to network programmable safety systems from the PSS-range.

Technical Features of the SafteyBUS p
SafetyBUS p is event-driven, i.e. messages are only sent when the status changes at the central or decentralised I/Os, or at the subscribers. For this reason, SafetyBUS p is especially suitable for networking plants with different signalling rates and high requirements for response time. This guarantees wide application in plant automation, manufacturing and machine engineering.

Fieldbus Benefits Include
  • Sensors and actuators are connected by decentralised I/O modules
  • Components that belong together can be configured as groups and switched off separately
  • Decentralisation of PSS programmable safety systems via decentralised I/O modules
