Phoenix Contact have launched the new MACX Analog-Ex isolator range. Available in a housing design width of only 12.5mm, the new MACX Analog-Ex interfaces provide narrow Ex-i signal isolator series to save up to 45% space in the control cabinet.
Following are the features of MACX Analog-Ex interfaces:
- HART-capable measuring transducer repeater power supply and output isolating amplifiers
- NAMUR isolating amplifiers
- Solenoid drivers
- FDT/DTM programmable temperature transducers
TheMACX Analog-Ex is suitable for the oil and gas, petrochemical, pulp and paper, food and process control engineering industries. The MACX Analog–Ex interface is available with both IECEx and SIL rating approval. The MACX Analog–Ex units can be installed in Ex zone 2 and Ex-i circuits for up to Ex zone 0 (gas) and Ex zone 20 (dust) enabling organisations to benefit for many Ex isolation applications.
In addition, the MACX Analog Ex has a range of Ex-rated products, including terminal blocks and power supplies. These include 24V supply and failure monitoring through a T-bus which results in less wiring and faster installation. The safe signal circuits are electrically isolated from the system level and the measured values are transmitted to the PLCs or process control systems with high accuracy.
Pluggable and coded connection terminal blocks, either in the screw design or in the spring-cage design, enable connection comfort. The T-Connector concept facilitates quick and stranded auxiliary power supply and multiple error messages. All 1 or 2-channel devices are characterised by their galvanic 3-way isolation, and a circuit design which ensures accurate transmission behaviour with minimum power dissipation.
