Touch Screens For Harsh And Benign Applications

Touch Screens from Zytronic Displays and Infra Red Touch Screens

• These touch screens are suitable for harsh, industrial, rugged and unattended applications
• They are unaffected by scratching, dirt, liquids, and can be built to be highly impact resistant by laminating multiple glass layers and utilising toughened glass
• Zytronics Touch Screens are also capable of working through a protective layer of glass up to 20mm thick, which can provide an additional “sacrificial” protective layer to the touch screen display and enhance the appearance of the display
• The Through Glass feature allows the Zytronic screens to be mounted inside a shop window and touch activated from outside the shop, opening up a new range of applications for interactive displays
• Zytronic touch screens can be activated with a bare or gloved finger.

Zytronic touch screens ideally suitable for applications such as industrial, mining, oil/gas, military, gaming and wagering, and outdoor unattended kiosks and displays. 

The ZYPOS Range from Zytronic Displays
Zytronic has also recently released its ZYPOS range, which retains many of the features of the rugged touch screens, but at prices that are suitable for more traditional applications such as indoor kiosks and POS and medical.

Infra Red Touch Screens
JEA is also the authorised distributor for Infra Red Touch Screens manufactured IR Touch Systems.

Advantages of Infra Red Touch Screens

• IR Touch screens have excellent light transmission, touch accuracy and response, and are unaffected by ambient light, including direct sunlight
• IR Touch Screens are especially suitable for large size displays up to 150in
• These large size touch screens can be supplied as frames without glass that easily fit over the display, providing a fast, easy and low cost addition of touch interactivity to any display, LCD or Plasma.

JEA also supplies LCD’s that are suitable for use with these touch screens, including sunlight readable displays.
