Weber’s Model 2600 Series printer-applicators available from Peacock Bro s, are lightweight, in-line units specifically engineered to merge true economy with the functionality often associated with heavier-duty labelling equipment.
The Model 2600 printer-applicators offer a selection of on-demand, thermal/thermal-transfer print engines from renowned manufacturers Zebra and Sato. The units print 203- or 300-dpi text, bar code sand graphic image sat speeds up to 12” per second, and will dispense labels up to 4.5”wide and 6” in length.
Labels are printed in a cost-efficient, next out mode, and then immediately are applied to cartons or products on the production or packaging line. Utilizing the tamp-blow method of application, a printed pressure sensitive label is peeled from its liner and is retained by vacuum on the applicator’s tamp pad. The pad is extended (8" standard stroke) and blown onto the product or package from approximately 0.25”.
The standard applicator pads can be adapted to various label sizes, and are provided in a quick change configuration. In just a few seconds, the tamp pad can be removed and another fastened in its place to handle a different size label.
Options include a variable stroke sensor, a label-on-pad sensor, and an adjustable stand that enables the system to be oriented for top or side application.
Standard features of the Model 2600 Series printer-applicators include:
- Durable anodized aluminum construction
- External user interface with LCD display
- Easily accessible inputs/outputs to facilitate the use of a product sensor or other optional accessories
- Stepper-driven rewind.
