Weber appoints sole distributoR

Peacock Bros has been appointed sole distributor of Weber label applicators in Australia and New Zealand.

Weber automatic printer and label applicator.

The Weber print and label applicators are sturdy, self-contained units that combine a high density thermal/thermal-transfer label printer with an automatic label applicator to simultaneously print and apply pressure-sensitive labels on a conveyor line.

Weber products include several printer applicators that satisfy numerous types of applications: high speed models for both standard and more challenging operations; wraparound units for simultaneous, two-panel labelling; and economical versions for less demanding applications.

Handling a wide variety of label sizes, Weber thermal-transfer print engines produce high-density bar codes, text and graphic images at speeds up to 30cm a second. Both non-contact and contact application methods are available.

Menu-driven instructions and 'what-you-see-is-what-you-get' display screens simplify label formatting and editing. Variable information can be changed on demand and advanced database features permit the storing, tracking and quick retrieval of label data.

Software is available in both DOS and Windows versions and it functions independently or in networks.

Some models can handle numerous short runs and label a wide assortment of products that randomly come down a conveyor line and can automatically adjust their operation to different shapes and sizes of products.

Barcode verifiers and various warning sensors can be incorporated into the system so they do not have to be continuously monitored. By automatically printing and applying labels in a single operation, the cost of labor is reduced.
