As standard, the new 3.75G wireless WAN technology is included, delivering faster data transfer speeds as ever before over the 3G network and improving worker productivity by reducing downtime. This high speed connectivity supports both voice and uplink and downlink data exchange. The quad band WAN flexible network radio allows configuration for either CDMA or UMTS wireless networks so you can choose the network that provides the best geographic coverage.
A unique multi-processor with dedicated ARM and DSP processors delivers near instantaneous response of on-device applications, all at the lowest levels of power consumption. The standard battery will easily last full shift use in most applications without needing to be re-charged. Initial tests have shown that the device can operate for up to 25 hours straight while completing regular barcode scanning functions, a feat until now unheard of with a device of this functionality.
An IP54 rain and dust resistance rating has been awarded to the CN50 mobile computer, and with a drop specification of 1.5 Metres onto concrete making it an ideal combination of damage resistant and lightweight functionality for “hold and carry” activities. With a standard battery installed it only weighs 310gms and yet still operates reliably in harsh workplace environments.
Another outstanding feature of the Intermec CN50 mobile computer is the ability to convert paper documents into editable electronic files. This is made possible via an optional application called Intermec Enhanced Mobile Document Imaging (eMDI) which allows the user to take a photo of a printed document and the CN50 will scan the document identify the text and layout and produce an electronic version that can be edited, perfect for invoices, customer queries and records.
