PEACOCK Bros is ready to take orders for Zebra Technologies latest QL ‘Plus’ series of portable barcode label and label receipt printers.
The new QL Plus series will replace the current QL series with each model hosting an impressive list of added features while still maintaining the current price point.
Depending on the application needs and environmental conditions, there are three QL Plus series models to choose: the QL Plus 220, the QL Plus 320 and the QL Plus 420.
Each model is compact, sturdy and has their own unique characteristics that will meet specific portable barcode label and label receipt printing needs.
Each version is encased within a rubber-infused plastic over-mould shell and has an easy to use ‘peel and present’ label dispensing operation delivering rugged performance and ease-of-use.
The Zebra QL Plus series is powered by an advanced, high-speed 32 bit processor for faster operation and label set up, decreasing the time required to produce the first label.
This new processor technology increases the processing speed to four times that of the current model and offers support for more complex graphics, fonts, applications and wireless protocols.
An LCD display, menu control and belt clips give the user exceptional input functionality, information display and printing performance anywhere in the workplace or out in the field.
The printer includes 2MB Flash and 2MB RAM memory, which is now standard – this is double that of previous models, therefore increasing the capacity for downloading of fonts and symbologies as well as printer control languages, network management support and wireless security protocols.
The new Zebra QL Plus is ready to support emerging future wireless security protocols including 802.11i, which will be coming soon, serving the portable printing needs of today and the future.
Increased connectivity is an important improvement of the Plus series, with USB 2.0 full speed connectivity included as standard. This will facilitate faster transfers of label designs, label formats and image files.
Optional IrDA, Bluetooth and wireless 802.11b connectivity is available for all QL Plus series units, offering the flexibility to adjust to a wide range of interface needs.
