Motorola have launched the new FR68 hand-held device that incorporates rugged construction, a compact design and 3G connectivity in one device. The Motorola FR68, available from Peacock Bros , fits into the enterprise mobile computer class and expands the standard usability by including an extra casing and inner construction for tough working conditions in warehouse, retail, transport and mobile field service work.
The Motorola FR68 is rated for .9 metre drops onto concrete and passes the IP54 rating for dust sealing with the antennae integrated within the casing for extra protection.
A compact design and large 2.8” QVGA touch screen makes the Motorola FR68 easy to operate. The device operates on the Windows Mobile platform allowing for compatibility into existing systems and integration into a wireless network. The 3G connectivity enables the Motorola FR68 to be used in applications that require instant positioning, two way communications beyond a standard wireless network and mobile phone capabilities.
The Motorola FR68 facilitates functionality and features 1D and 2D barcode scanning, WWAN, WLAN and IrDA connectivity. Real-time information can be instantly relayed from customers’ mobile workforce. With a range of enterprise class features in a compact and rugged form factor, the Motorola FR68 provides enterprises with a low total cost of ownership.
The Motorola FR68 incorporates a 624MHz processor, 128 MB of RAM or 256MB of Flash Memory and is suitable for high-end resource intensive applications.
