PEACOCK Brothers has released the VP2020, a high resolution digital colour custom label printer.
The VP2020 has the flexibility to cope with changing markets and unpredictable customer demands. Users can print labels immediately for test market samples, customised items, seasonal or event add-ins, and quick-turn orders.
The VP2020 label printer can produce vivid colour codes and crisp pictures on carton labels or tags. Users can print labels one at a time or generate entire rolls with variable content such as bar codes and serial numbers.
The printer can prevent costly stocking, picking, and shipping mistakes through the use of colour and picture coded labels. Manufacturers of mixed products frequently lose profits because it is very difficult for employees to detect common mistakes. Colour and picture coding on carton labels makes these mistakes obvious to a casual observer at a distance.
Key features of the new VP2020 Digital Colour Label Printer include vibrant colour prints up to 600 x 600 dpi. It can prints on a wide range of materials, including matte, semi-gloss, gloss, tag, material, transparent, and synthetic stocks. It can print labels and tags from 2.5cm to 15cm in width and can print anywhere from one to thousands of labels a day. It has a durable steel frame and chassis for shop floor and warehouse environments and is designed for ease of operation and integration.
The VP2020 supports Windows-based applications and includes Windows drivers. It also supports VIPColour software for label design. The printer’s internal RIP speeds through label data, even if every label is different. This makes it easier to quickly change data, colour, and images.
The printer incorporates high speed interfaces and USB as standard, with wireless Ethernet as an option to ensure data accuracy. Users can log into the printer from a standard browser for basic fault diagnostics. The printer can also supply usage information for departmental budgeting.
