Automated labelling and tracking


PEACOCK Bros has provided an automated labelling and tracking solution for a customer of one of Australia’s largest custom-builders and retrofitters of automated processing and packaging solutions: Carter Holt Harvey Packaging Systems (CHH).

The CHH customer needed an automated processing, packaging and labelling system that could apply two verified barcode tracking and shipping labels on opposing sides of pallets that are of various widths and heights as they travelled down the conveyor system to a distribution dock.

Peacock Bros implemented two customised Weber 5200 Printer/applicators with adjustable and variable reach arms to adhere data and barcoded labels on product pallets as they moved through the processing and packaging conveyor system.

The solution removed double handling of pallets and enabled all labelled items of differing sizes to be accurately and automatically verified and tracked through all stages from the packaging, distribution and delivery operations.
