For almost 4 decades, the team at Peace Noise & Vibration Control has been quietly working away at a range of noise control solutions, from acoustic enclosures for industry, to audio booths and acoustic doors. Now Peace Noise & Vibration Control is meeting an even more diverse range of challenges, with equally effective results. On a larger scale, Peace Noise & Vibration Control has successfully completed the design, fabrication and installation of a 17metre long noise control enclosure for testing mining vehicles. Peace, a Sydney based engineering company not only had to contend with the challenges of building such a large enclosure. The final product was installed interstate, more than 1,100 km.
While that’s been one of the largest projects to date, architectural noise control solutions have been another area of diversity. The team at Peace have found that often the most aesthetic commercial interiors relegate acoustic ambience a poor second. Designers may choose to create a soothing environment using colours, textures and materials, which do not always absorb the sound of busy restaurants or entertainment interiors.
So to minimise ambient chatter in a South Sydney restaurant, the designers at Peace have created a brand new acoustic panel product. These panels for The Green Bamboo restaurant are made of, as you would expect, green bamboo. As a result, ambient noise is down and customers have responded with comments like, noticed the difference, a big improvement, whereas before you had to yell at each other. Another said of the restaurant’s new ambience that wish they had done it a long time ago.
