Particle & Surface Sciences introduces the new Micromeritics Autopore 9600 mercury porosimeter featuring additional operational and design advantages.
Available in two models, the 9605 and 9620, the Micromeritics Autopore 9600 employs a mercury porosimetry analysis technique based on the intrusion of mercury into a porous structure under stringently controlled pressures. Both models offer speed, accuracy and a wide measurement range.
While the Autopore 9605 features four low pressure ports and two high pressure ports @ 33,000 psia, the 9620 has four low pressure ports and four high pressure ports @ 60,000 psia.
Key features of the Micromeritics Autopore 9600 mercury porosimeters include ability to measure pore diameters from 0.003 to 500 µm; high-resolution (sub-microlitre) measurement of intrusion/extrusion volumes producing extraordinary precision allowing development of tighter sample specifications, improved production processes, and high-quality research data; operation in scanning and time- or rate-of-intrusion equilibrated modes to collect extremely high-resolution data; and better than 0.1 µL for mercury intrusion and extrusion volume
Mercury porosimetry additionally allows calculation of numerous sample properties such as pore size distributions, total pore volume, total pore surface area, median pore diameter and sample densities (bulk and skeletal).
The AutoPore V Series mercury porosimeters can determine a broader pore size distribution more quickly and accurately than other methods. Enhanced safety features and new data reduction and reporting choices that provide more information about pore geometry and the fluid transport characteristics of the material are some of their capabilities.
