THE Grasshopper ZeroTurn mower range from Parklands Power Products now includes four new diesel models.
They all have Rollover Protection Systems (ROPS) as standard and feature the coolest running to take extreme temperature, with the highest temperature specification available from the manufacturer. This specification is rated at 40°C plus and includes larger radiators, improved cooling fans and bigger screens.
The models also feature even more comfort, with less vibration, better legroom and a new footplate. Labelled by Grasshopper as the most comfortable seat in the industry, the ComfortZone seat is fully padded, shock-absorbing, with a high back seat, lumbar support and padded armrests. Coil spring suspension also adds comfort.
With total control at faster mowing speeds, the rider can change hand, arm, leg and body positions without having to slow down. The low profile and low centre of gravity provide exceptional stability at the higher speeds of up to 14kmph.
The new models, 322D/52, 322D/661, 428D/61 and 428D/72, are all powered by liquid-cooled Kubota diesel engines. The second digit in the model numbers denotes the width of the cut in inches.
All units are solidly built, with 10 gauge steel deck and extra 7 gauge reinforcement and 7 gauge formed skirts.
An extra large 8” (200mm) spindle housing flange, greaseable bearings, six bolt pattern and 5 1/2” (140mm) deep deck provides exceptional strength and allows the operator to travel at higher speeds in the toughest mowing conditions.
The new models feature the G2 hydrostatic transmission system, width HydroGear pumps and Ross wheel motors and 7 micron filter.
All Grasshoppers feature deep decks to process more grass much faster, without blocking, to get the job done faster and more efficiently.
Dual function, full-floating decks provide the option of side discharge or mulching. Side discharge evenly disperses high volume clippings, at faster mowing speeds, because of superior air flow and the specially developed GrassMax blade system.
