Parklands Power Products have announced their entry into the mobility market with the release of their new range of electric mobility scooters. These mobility scooters are supplied under the Parklander brand.
The range consists of four models, with different features starting from an entry-level model that is able to cruise at 7.5km/h and travel up to 10km on one charge to a top-of-the-line Cruiser with all the bells and whistles. The entry level scooter is dubbed the Portable model, as this can quickly be disassembled for transportability. It can also easily fit in the boot of a car. This scooter only weighs 43kg and can carry an adult weighing 90kg.
These electric mobility scooters are robust and feature-packed. The rotating seats allow easy access and the ability to sit in front of a desk or table comfortably. This feature is great for users, who enjoy outdoor cafes, as there is no need to leave the comfort of the scooter, when stopping for a meal or a beverage.
The scooters are versatile, with adjustable steering to suit all users. A battery charger indicator gives the rider peace-of-mind, as there is no need to remember when to recharge. And, with distances per charge ranging from 10km upwards, depending on the model, there is enough charge to get around the neighbourhood, picnic area, park and so on.
For added safety, the brake engages automatically, when controls are released. As well, a press button brake release allows for infinite movement in tight spaces. The next model called the Compact has four wheels for even greater stability and is a little heavier at 50kg. The third scooter is the Comfort model, with headlights, mirrors and indicators. The latter is bigger and heavier still at 130kg, and can run up to 40km per charge at a maximum speed of 10kmph in armchair comfort.
The premium Cruiser model is also comfortable, with a fully reclining seat, headrest and pneumatic tyres. This model also gives the ride over rougher ground because of its larger wheels and travels at speeds of up to 16kmph.
