THE Caravaggi BIO 200 expands the chipper/shredder range available from Australian distributor Parklands Power Products . Like the smaller models in the range, the BIO 200 mulches as well as shreds.
The combination of a hammer mill and disc blade chipper in the shredding assembly allows the unit to output material that can be used as compost.
Like the other Caravaggi units, this petrol driven model features an all steel construction.
Powered by a 13hp (9.5kW) Honda motor, the BIO 200 chipper/shredder is ideal for grinding logs of up to 90mm diameter - a task the unit does with ease. The smaller BIO units range from 3hp (2.24kW) upward.
The chipper is located in a separate chamber from the hammer mill, allowing the feeding of large branches through the chipper that cannot be fed directly to the mill. Smaller branches, leaves and the like are fed directly to the mill for processing.
For ease of operation, the BIO 200 features a self-feeding mechanism of gripping teeth, which automatically draws in the material being processed. In case of emergency, a safety reversal bar will feed material back out.
Varying the fineness of the mulch is easily achieved - simply by using the lever on the side, to adjust the screen size.
A standard wheel kit for easy towing behind a tractor; a tractor-mounted PTO model; and an optional blower attachment, are also available.
Parklands Trading offers a comprehensive range of Caravaggi mulchers, from homeowner to commercial capacity units. Caravaggi also manufactures industrial units for logging and forestry use.
