DOMNICK hunter has released a range of breathing-air purifiers designed for life-threatening situations.
The medium and high pressure versions of the equipment are designed for situations where carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide may be present in the compressed air stream feeding individual masks or sets of breathing equipment.
These include situations involving cleaning of tanks used in industrial, medical, and military applications. Similar situations are encountered in civil engineering tunnelling works and hazmat situations including refuelling of aircraft and vehicles and spray painting situations. Similar technology is used in mining refuge shelters and shelters for battlefield use.
The medium pressure purifiers use five separate stages of air treatment to provide breathable air at a higher quality level than specified by legislation or international standards. They offer total protection against carbon monoxide poisoning and carbon dioxide asphyxiation.
The high-pressure filters are designed for applications up to 350 bar. They use two stages of air treatment to meet the air quality requirements of AS 2299-1992.
