Parker Hannifin 's new gas blending systems allow users to blend or dilute up to five component gases to produce customised gas mixtures for precise calibration or validation standards.

Developed in response to industry demand for a system that could reduce the cost of blending and diluting gas, these gas mixers can provide savings of up to 20 per cent over custom pre-blended gas in a range of laboratory, industrial, and process analytical applications.

Parker gas blending systems draw from five separate pure gas sources to create custom gaseous mixtures, ensuring a controlled blend across a broad concentration range.

They can be used for gas dilution in ratios from 1:1 to 10,000:1 standard, allowing for the calibration of most analyser ranges from one cylinder of each gas type, minimizing gas costs, transport costs, and handling labour.

From higher percent to parts per billion (ppb) levels, the systems can achieve a variable range of concentrations for automatic calibration of:

  • gas chromatographs
  • FTIRs
  • process gas analysers
  • mass spectrometers; and
  • other gas analytical devices.
