One of Australia and New Zealand’s largest suppliers of electrical systems, HPM Legrand has improved its product development process with a PLM solution from PTC Australia .
The iconic HPM Legrand continues to develop modern electrical systems for domestic and commercial use, including switches, power points, sensors, home networking systems, TV, data and phone outlets, door entry systems, extension leads, power boards, timers, door chimes, and garden lighting.
Aiming to develop more innovative products as well as view and share product information through a browser, HPM Legrand sought a platform to manage its enormous business data. The relationship between HPM Legrand and PTC, which began in 2000, is now strengthened with PTC’s enterprise PLM platform, PTC Windchill.
PTC Windchill, a true web-based PLM platform enables a single source of data to be used across the enterprise.
HPM Legrand has already benefited from PTC’s implemented systems that have ensured data integrity, reduced operational costs and increased internal collaboration.
According to Pradeep Anirudhan, CAD Systems Manager of HPM Legrand, the ability to share and view all data including specifications, drawings, MS Office, archived AutoCAD data and other formats increases the amount of collaboration between their global offices.

PTC Reseller LEAP Australia Pty Limited helped HPM Legrand migrate from Pro/INTRALINK to PTC Windchill and define a strategy to move beyond just managing CAD data. Besides consulting, LEAP Australia also provided training and maintenance services to HPM Legrand.
