ARENCO Sprinter, represented in Australia by Packovation , has released a carton board tray that uses a flat carton blank that is pre-printed in the manufacturer’s graphics. The lid is also pre-printed with product information or a photo of the finished product.
The packaging can be microwaved or heated in a convection oven. The Hot Tray has safety-wing extensions that insulate the user from the internal heat or cold of the food product.
The lid can be either a fixed hinge lid or a separate removable lid. For the consumer the used product breaks down flat for easy recycling.
The system uses hot air to form the tray and seal the lid and the Sprinter system will handle the high-speed requirements of larger producers. The trays are available in a range of heights and widths, with low-profile insulating handles.
