MadgeTech Therm-A-Lert wireless temperature recorders have been supplied by Pacific Sensor Technologies to a major confectionary manufacturer for use in the production, laboratory testing and storage areas.
These RTD based wireless temperature recording systems are used in enclosures where doors and lids are opened frequently. They are programmed to send temperature data transmissions in real time to the monitoring computer every 15 minutes. If temperatures go out of set ranges, an alarm is sounded to warn lab personnel so technicians can take immediate corrective action on any out of range temperature swings.
To eliminate false alarms these temperature recorders comes equipped with an ethylene glycol buffer bottle which simulates actual product temperature, not the ambient air.
This confectionary lab is now equipped with an efficient temperature monitoring system that gives technicians real time information on all of the CCP's, while improving their overall food
MadgeTech also supplies their easy to use software that features user programmable critical control points, called "cooling flags" to assist in compliance with USDA Appendix B. These "cooling flags" are automatically annotated on the graph and tabular data views. The summary tab provides the cool down duration between each critical control point.
This data can also be automatically exported to Excel for further calculations.
