Pacific Sensor Technologies introduces the BinMaster Guided Wave Radar (GWR-100) level sensors for measuring powders, bulk solids and liquids in vessels up to 78 feet tall.
The BinMaster GWR-100 guided wave radar level sensor uses time domain reflectometry (TDR) to continuously measure the distance, level and volume of material contained in bins, tanks and silos.
Key features of the BinMaster GWR-100 guided wave radar level sensor include advanced two-wire TDR measurement technology with a low dead band (hysteresis) and accuracy of 5mm; measurement data converted to 4-20 mA output with HART communication, and viewed via a graphical display on the device or an optional local display using the SAP-300 plug-in display unit; standard models available for process temperatures from -30°C to 90°C plus high temperature models for temperature range -30°C to 200°C; as well as 8mm cable with 1.5-inch NPT for use in liquids and heavier bulk solid materials, and 4mm cable with 1-inch NPT for lighter powders and bulk solids.
Offering reliable performance, the level sensors are immune to dust, humidity, temperature, pressure and bulk density changes as well as noise that might be present when filling or emptying the vessel.
The BinMaster GWR-100 guided wave radar level sensors find application in continuous level measurement in powders, granules, bulk solids, and liquids; vessels of almost any shape or diameter, including narrow tanks; industries including food, grain, seed, feed, cement, asphalt, minerals, quarries, steel, chemicals and power generation; and vessels prone to dust, humidity, temperature, pressure and bulk density changes.
