Stainless steel wire braid on the hose assembly (SS1) provides the hose with higher internal pressure capability by acting as a restraint against hose elongation and dampens vibration without significant loss of flexibility.
A second layer of braid (SS2) may be used to increase pressure rating provided the test pressure is not exceeded. This can result in permanent corrugation deformation.

Stainless Steel Interlock Hose
Stainless steel Interlock metal hose is made from a casing that is helically wound preformed metal strip into a fully interlocked profile. The flats are formed by a polygonal mandrel, which gives the hose anti torsion properties.
Interlock will not unwind when cut because of the flats built into the wall. Some common uses for Interlock hose is:
