PACIFIC Hoists is turning 30 and to celebrate this the company is hunting down the oldest working Hitachi Electric Chain Hoist in Australia.

In 1976 Ray Danckert and Dennis Herbert, who had been employed at Herbert Morris (Crane Manufacture in Sydney), embarked on a journey by opening their own business. A partnership was formed - a company with five staff.

The importing of high quality lifting equipment began. They started with four main lines: Hitachi Electric Hoists, Vital Chain and Lever Blocks, JDN Air hoists, Wire Rope Hoist, focusing mainly on the lifting market and concentrated on selling to the distributor market such as J Blackwoods & Son.

Over the years Hitachi Electric Chain Hoists has proven to be an international leader when it comes to performance, reliability and quality.

With so many cheap imitations on the market, only Hitachi electric chain hoists can boast its unique and patent mechanical overload limiting device that offers protection and user safety - far superior to that of the slip clutch method opted by many other hoists.

If customers have an Hitachi hoist, log on to Pacific Hoists’ website, fill in the form and possibly win some great Hitachi power tools or even a brand new hoist.
