Pacific Data Systems introduces a new portable leak detection system for gas pipeline monitoring applications.
Designed for use in gas pipeline leak detection tests, the new PDS pipeline integrity testing system features a rugged and portable design to provide accurate and reliable monitoring of temperature changes, which are a key indicator of a potential leak in the gas pipeline.
Pacific Data Systems’ pipeline integrity testing system has already been used in pre-commissioning testing of coal seam gas (CSG) pipelines in central Queensland. The compact, rugged and portable monitoring system consists of two temperature probes, a battery-powered data logging unit and, where required, optional 3G or satellite communications.
Designed to test for temperature fluctuations in the gas pipeline over a short period (typically 24 hours), this system can be configured for longer term monitoring if required. Once monitoring is complete, the user can download the data to a PC for analysis.
Pacific Data Systems can supply the pipeline integrity testing system for gas pipeline leak detection worldwide.
