PT Hydraulics Australia presents the Serv-Clip, a new tube measuring connection system designed to speed up on-site maintenance work while achieving significant cost savings for the user.
Onsite maintenance can be a very time-consuming process, especially when there are no test points installed at the worksite.
Serv-Clip enables on-site servicing to be carried out much faster by offering a range of pipe measuring points and sensors suitable for pipes operating at pressures up to 630 Bar. Fitted to pressurised or non-pressurised systems in approximately three minutes, the tube measuring connection can be used on 10-65mm pipes in working temperatures from -40°C to +120°C.
Requiring no LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) or any cutting of pipes, Serv-Clip is simply installed by screwing the clip onto a cleaned pipe or tube surface. Once securely attached to the pipe, a specially shaped steel needle is inserted through the wall of the tube above the screw head. The screw head is then screwed back slightly to reveal a small contained hole allowing the pressure to be analysed immediately without interrupting the hydraulic system operation.
The tube measuring connection system is completely leak-proof and eliminates possible contamination of the hydraulic fluid. Once the Serv-Clip is installed, it can be left in place for future maintenance jobs without compromising the operational safety or integrity of the hydraulic system.
