PT Hydraulics Australia
introduces the new Lukas S700 rescue cutters featuring improved blade geometry.
The Lukas S700 range includes the S700 and S700E cutters, with the S700E being part of the eDraulic line of rescue tools, which have been engineered to free rescue workers of power units and hoses, eliminating the set-up time associated with traditional rescue tools.
All Lukas cutter blades including those on the S700 rescue cutter series feature forged shock-resistant tool steel, heat treated using a four-step tempering process to maximise the strength of the blade.
The improved blade geometry of the Lukas S700 rescue cutters enables the forged shock-resistant tool steel blades to attain maximum cutting capability at a 110mm opening. The blades feature a 185mm opening in the fully open position and are specifically shaped to generate high power at the tip, allowing their use in applications that require cutting larger diameters and stronger steel.
The tip of the blade on the Lukas S700 rescue cutters has a punch-like design that allows it to more easily punch through the highly reinforced areas of the vehicle while maintaining the tool’s position outside the vehicle. The new cutter blade design eliminates the tendency of the tool to rotate into the passenger compartment.
Lukas S700 rescue cutters are also equipped with built-in safety features such as dead man controls, hand guards and pre-set internal relief valves.
