The Optipact measuring system from the Fraba company Intaction of Germany is a revolutionary new process for making dual axis linear measurements without any contact with the surface of the material.
Optipact Measuring System Applications
The Intaction measuring system is used to replace conventional rotary shaft encoders fitted with calibrated measuring wheels.

Differentiating Features of the Optipact Non Contact Linear Measuring System
This revolutionary new process can provide the user with simultaneous X and Y measurements, without touching the material, making it especially suited to  measuring many sensitive materials like:
  • Cloth
  • Thin rolled metal strip
  • Paper
  • Paper products
  • Plus many more
Output signals are the normal A B signals, the same as produced by traditional rotary shaft encoders, the measuring increment per division is set into the head with calibrating software provide with the unit.
