MKS, represented in Australia by Plant Control and Automation (PCA) , has released a series of units designed for amplification, distribution, and splitting of incremental encoder signals.
The GV 150, GV 151 and GV 202 units allow trouble-free splitting of one encoder signal to several target units. The outputs are cascadable and some of the units provide potential-separation or level conversion at the same time. They offer input for incremental encoder signals A, /A, B, /B and Z, /Z.
The GV150 and the GV151 units both have six outputs, while the GV202 has two. The GV150 has an output level of TTL / RS422 while the GV151 and GV202 both have output levels of RS422 or HTL.
The GV150 and the GV151 units offer potential separation and have 10V-30V dc power supplies, a 19-inch steel construction, and rack or DIN rail mountings. The GV202 does not offer separation and has a 5V dc or 10V-30V dc power supply, a PCB with plastic frame construction and a DIN rail mounting.
PCA has also released the GV155 contactless cross switcher for encoder signals, offering bounce-free commutation between two encoder inputs and two encoder outputs as well as two analogue inputs and outputs. It has two pulse inputs, each with encoder channels A,Ai, B,Bi and Z,Zi, either with TTL or with HTL level.
The GV155 has a maximum input frequency of 300kHz, an 18V-30V dc power supply, a closed 19-inch steel cassette for rack mounting, and it can also be DIN rail mounted.
