MKS, represented in Australia by Plant Control and Automation (PCA) , has released a frequency divider and multiplier for incremental encoder signals, as well as a sine-cosine interpolator.
The IT251 is an impulse and frequency divider for incremental encoder signals, providing error-free division of quadrature encoder signals, with an adjustable ratio from 1:1 to 1:4096. It also functions as a level converter for incremental encoder signals A/B/Z to both directions and offers translation between various modes of indication of the direction of rotation. It has a compact housing suited to DIN rail mounting and a maximum input frequency of 300kHz.
The SI251 sine/cosine interpolator has an adjustable multiplication rate and is designed for use with sine/cosine encoder systems. It converts sinus wave inputs with one Vss standard level into incremental quadrature output signals. Its RS422 / TTL outputs include A, /A, B, /B, Z, /Z while its 10V to 30V HTL outputs include A, B and Z. It has an adjustable multiplier for interpolation rates from 1:5 to 1:50, as well as an adjustable divider from 1:1 to 1:128, allowing reduction of the output frequency. The SI251 has a sinus input frequency of 0kHz to 400 kHz, quadrature output frequency of up to 4MHz and adjustable filtering functions.
