Three years ago, in Lismore, NSW, a customer named John bought a brand new RockHound 30EX excavator flail mulcher to attach to his brand new Takeuchi TB145 mini excavator. John had a bit of work lined up from the local council to do some roadside maintenance that involved trimming back branches that overhang the road and mow down all the scrub and bushes that were growing on the embankments that no-one was able to get to.
Using the reach of his excavator made easy work of both jobs and the quality of the finished work led to further work that included clearing creek beds, mulching nuisance scrub at the local football club as well as picking up several civil jobs along the way.
When people see what can be done with a mulcher such as the RockHound 30EX and a mini excavator that is easily transported and does little damage to grass etc, more and more jobs have been coming John’s way and all the while just one set of flails were replaced. The RockHound has never given John any trouble over all this time due to the manufacturing quality and that RockHound products are built for contractors who can’t afford downtime and demand a quality product that is designed to last for many years.
The RockHound mulcher is still going strong and so is his excavator as mulching is far easier on the excavator’s boom than digging or hammering. The RockHound mulcher connects straight to the excavator’s current hydraulic system and does not require any further hydraulic cooling.
RockHound 30EX excavator flail mulcher is available from Oz Turners and Mulchers .
