Oz Turners and Mulchers now manufacture their own tow behind compost turners right here in Australia. Oz Turners was established in order to be able to manufacture locally, which also provides the company the freedom to make changes based on customer feedback or customer requirements.
There are three sizes available, the CT1800 (6 foot wide), CT2700 (9 foot wide) and the CT3600 (12 foot wide). The drum and paddles are designed for giving the compost maximum aeration and product blending while water can be easily added to the compost windrow using the Oz Turners’ built in watering system that connects to an external water supply. Each model has three water exit points in the tunnel, each outlet can be individually controlled for precise water supply management. The Oz Turner also comes with a side mounted trailing arm for connecting a water wagon/ truck for supplying the water.
The Oz Turners also come standard with a fleece roller for manoeuvring the turner underneath any windrow covers that may be in place. This allows composting without removing the covers first.
Oz Turners do not need heavy counterweights that can add up to 4000kg to the machine as we use a hydraulic steering system that enables the compost turner to pass through gates or travel down access roads. Oz Turners are also capable of turning contaminated soils for Bioremediation.
