O-rings are commonly used sealing element found in industry. As conventional O-rings are made of rubber, these suffer from high friction and have little resistance to chemicals and gases. On the other hand, solid Teflon O-rings are too rigid, with no effective memory and a high compression set.

Oz Tefcap is a highly advanced range of O-rings, which combines the resilience and sealing force of an elastomer, with the chemical resistance of Teflon. Made of a rubber core of Silicone or Viton and a thin, moulded encapsulation of teflon polymer, Oz Tefcap provides near universal sealing capability in arduous applications, where conventional O-rings will just not work.
To eliminate the possibility of a gap between the core and the encapsulating tube, Oz Tefcaps are manufactured using pressure injection of the elastomeric core material into the teflon tube. The tubing is then joined by a special heat moulding process, to provide true seamless encapsulation.
