Outotec has appointed Stuart Sneyad as the new Head of the South-East Asia Pacific Operations, succeeding the previous head, Neil Jagger.
Stuart Sneyd holds a chemical engineering degree from the University of Queensland and MBA from the Unversity of Western Australia. Sneyd has worked as a process engineer, for Lurgi Australia, on goal gasification projects for China. He has since been involved in a number of innovative projects such as the Circored project in Trinidad and the HIsmelt project in Kwinana, Western Australia.
Before his appointment as Head of the South-East Asia Pacific Operations, Snyedled the direct and smelting reduction group in Germany and was responsible for the development and commercialisation of a portfolio of innovative technologies for the iron and steel industry.
Outotec says Stuart Sneyd has extensive experience in developing solutions for clients that effectively combine technical information, commercial robustness and environmental best practise.

Sneyd also has a wide range of skills and knowledge in iron ore agglomeration, direct and smelting reduction, iron making, synthetic rutile, mineral sands, alumina and coal and has a broad understanding across Outotec’s technology portfolio.
